Chris McGeown is a dedicated and empathetic Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist who has several years of experience supporting adults and families in Toronto and across the GTA. Chris completed his Masters of Social Work in the UK at the University of Worcester.

With a deep understanding of the challenges that come with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, anger management, and relationship concerns, Chris provides a safe and supportive space for healing and growth.

Chris’ approach is collaborative, grounded in empathy, and tailored to each individual’s unique goals, experiences, and needs. Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Chris helps clients make meaningful steps to explore challenges and strengths, build practical coping strategies, and enhance emotional regulation. His therapeutic style integrates structure with compassion, empowering clients to develop greater self-awareness and create lasting, positive change.

Warm and non-judgmental by nature, Chris strives to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey. His goal is to foster both emotional healing and personal growth in a way that feels authentic and empowering.

When he’s not working with client’s Chris enjoys playing hockey, writing poetry and playing with his dog Kathy and cat Winston.
