About Tara

Tara is a skilled and compassionate Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology from the University of Guelph-Humber. Tara supports teens and adults navigating challenges such as addictions, trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, body image concerns, and interpersonal difficulties and provides clients with the tools they need to foster growth and resilience.

Tara takes a collaborative and flexible approach to therapy, working closely with clients to develop treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals. She believes in the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship and fosters an inviting, compassionate, and respectful environment where clients can safely explore their challenges. Tara is committed to guiding individuals as they navigate their paths toward healing, growth, and self-empowerment.

Her therapeutic style combines psychodynamic principles with other approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Tara helps clients to uncover the root causes of their struggles. She equips clients with practical coping strategies to manage life’s difficulties, build self-awareness, and achieve meaningful change. Tara recognizes the courage it takes to seek help and approaches every client with warmth, understanding, and encouragement.

Outside of her professional work, Tara has a deep passion for fostering dogs and finds joy in spending time with them. Her love for animals reflects her nurturing nature and commitment to providing care and support—both in her personal life and in her work as a therapist.
