About

Avery

Avery is a compassionate and dedicated Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She has completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, giving her the knowledge and skills needed to support her clients.

Avery recognizes that reaching out for support can be one of the most challenging steps in the healing process. She deeply values the courage and vulnerability it takes to seek help and meets every client with empathy and respect. Her approach to therapy is client-centered, tailoring her care to suit each person’s unique needs and goals. Avery uses her expertise and life experience to guide clients toward meaningful growth and self-discovery.

While Avery primarily works from a psychodynamic perspective, she integrates a variety of therapeutic modalities to best support her clients. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is skilled at adapting her methods to create a flexible and individualized therapeutic experience.

Avery has a particular interest in working with both adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. She works collaboratively with clients to explore the root causes of their struggles, identify patterns and triggers, and develop effective coping strategies to manage life’s demands.

Avery’s warm and empathetic nature fosters a non-judgmental and safe environment where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered. She is committed to walking alongside her clients throughout their healing journey, offering unwavering support as they work toward greater self-awareness and well-being.

When she’s not working with clients, Avery finds solace and inspiration in the outdoors. She enjoys exploring backcountry hiking trails in the western provinces, where she connects with the peace and beauty of nature.
